Before signing any loan and escrow documents, please use the following checklist to be sure that everything is to your satisfaction. Be sure to discuss any uncertainties or issues you may have with your real estate agent and loan officer, or escrow officer.
Checklist for SELLER:
Is the sales price correct?
Is your name spelled correctly on all the documents?
Are the loans paid off with the correct amount?
Is the Deed correct?
Are the notes in your favor, if any, correct?
Are the prorations correct?
Are all the fees correct?
If you agreed to credit the Buyer, do the credits show as debits on your escrow instructions?
Is the correct closing date given?
